Once a year, SingleGolfclub USA organizes a handicap-qualifying tournament, the United States Single Golf Cup.
Tournament rules:
The Unites States Single Golf Cup (preliminary rounds and final round) is played in individual Stableford format, gross and net (net in two handicap categories) as a handicap-qualifying competition. Ladies and Gents are classified separately. The 6 winners of each preliminary state round qualify for the United States Single Golf Cup. This is played under the tournament rules of the USGA and the local course rules at the golf club providing the venue.
Celebrity players:
We will try to find a celebrity for each preliminary round and for the final. An auction is held to determine who plays with the celebrity. The three Members submitting the highest bids play in the celebrity's foursome.
Participants:
Members, Associate Members and guests can participate in the preliminary rounds. As a basic principle, only SingleGolfclub members can win prizes and qualify for the United States Single Golf Cup and the American Single Golf Cup. Interested players who win prizes and would like to qualify must become a member of SingleGolfclub USA before they take part for the first time.
Miscellaneous:
No player can win two prizes. For example, no player can win both the gross and net categories and no player can win the special gross category and the gross prize for the United States Single Golf Cup.
